E-mail Illustrator (.ai) or Acrobat (.pdf) file to artwork@slcindustries.com.
File should be set-up as follows:
- imposed press sheet file
- all elements in 100% K (black) only
- all type outlined

|
| Layout: |
- Sheetwise printing of images is best but not required.
- Maximum sheet size: 28 x 40
- Minimum sheet size: 12-1/2 x 19
- Gripper margin: 3/4" (minimum to scratch-off area)
- Tail, guide, and wild : 1/2" (minimum to scratch-off area)

| Registration: |
- Please mark clearly guide and gripper, use operator side guide if possible.
- Trapping screen printed scratch off image to an offset printed graphic image will not work.
+- a 1/16" is realistic.

| Paper: |
- Most all offset printable grades of paper will work.
- On full coated sheets the scent area will be more noticeable (visually), on uncoated papers it will
be barely visible. The scent imparts a matte finish to the printed piece.
- 80# book weight or heavier works best for the automatic screen printing of the scent.

| Ink: |
No special printing inks or coatings are required.
The effect is best if the following are taken into account:
- A minimum of ink coverage should be used under the scent area, allowing for the best bonding of the
scent area to the paper.
- Screen or "phantom" the printed image 50% or greater.
- For best effect the scent area should be 1.5 square inches, or more.

| Production: |
| The scent is released by the act of breaking the encapsulated fragrance. Keep the scent image area
away from areas that would come under guillotine clamp pressure if possible. You may have to take
special measures to keep from breaking the encapsulation, i.e.: building up the clamp in non image areas.
Folding, with care to proper roller pressure, should not be a problem.
Handle the finished piece with care, do not over pack in cartons.
To prevent marking on the scent image area, keep the side opposite the image free of printing.
