  • If your film positive is not to your exact press sheet, we can not make a screen prior to the time of receiving your printed press sheets. Ink:
  • Conventional printing inks should be used in conjunction with a barrier (rub resistant) varnish.

  • The varnish is best if applied with a "dry plate" method. Spot varnish is acceptable if applied properly. Aqueous coating is OK if applied properly over a good (#2 or better) coated paper.
  • Use a minimum of offset spray powder, scratch off will bond to the spray powder.
  • Under the play area (scratch off) use as many ink layers as the graphics will allow.
If security is a factor:
  • Use heavier paper that has more fiber content i.e. 8pt or 10pt C1S.
  • Screen down the play image.
  • Print a security pattern on the back of the sheet behind the play area.
  • Use graphics under the play area that visually disrupt the play area image.
  • Offset overprinting of scratch off is not recommended, if necessary for security reasons, please discuss with SLC prior to quoting job.
